C&IT upgraded the Banner platform to Banner 9 on Feb. 12. How you access ApplicationXtender (AX), Wayne State's document management and imaging system, may be affected.
The easiest way to access documents from Banner is to begin using the new Banner 9 Admin Pages. Our document management platform, ApplicationXtender, is fully integrated with Banner 9 Admin Pages. If you click Retrieve at the top of a Banner 9 Admin Page, you will see the corresponding query results with no additional steps.
You will still be able to access documents from Internet Native Banner (INB) until that system is shut down this summer. If you choose to use INB, you may be prompted to log in to Academica any time you click the AX button (labeled BDM-Display Documents in the INB interface).
If you already access ApplicationXtender via Academica or directly via imaging.wayne.edu, your process will not be affected.
C&IT is also upgrading ApplicationXtender to a new version Feb. 17-18, and more information about that upgrade will be shared with you before then. The access instructions above will not change when ApplicationXtender is upgraded.
