What are Blackboard journals and journal entries?

Journals are self-reflective spaces where students may post thoughts on course topics. Students have the option to create their own Journal Entry and comment on other student's Journals as well. An instructor must start a Journal in order for Journal Entries to be added.

Journal assignments help students create meaning and internalize learning as they engage in one-on-one conversations with their instructor. The private nature of journals offers students a safe environment to express themselves and receive feedback.
