I'm getting the message "Service Invocation Failed" in Banner 9, what should I do?

You may see the message "Service Invocation Failed" when logging in or while using Banner 9.

 

One possible cause is double-clicking on the Banner 9 - Login menu item in Academica. You only need to single-click to start the Banner 9 session.  

 

This issue is reported more frequently with the Internet Explorer web browser; less often with Chrome or Firefox.  So trying a different web browser may provide relief.  Keep in mind that only Banner 8 requires Internet Explorer as the web browser.
