REMINDER: System and service availability during the Banner upgrade, Saturday, Nov. 30 Sunday, Dec. 1

Summary

The Banner Administrative System is being upgraded to release 8.6 from 12:01 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 through Sunday, December 1, 2013. 

Affected services and systems

All WSU: The university's Pipeline portal will be available intermittently during the upgrade period. Note: Intermittent availability means the system can go down unexpectedly at any time.

Students:

  • Not available: Self-Services through WSU Pipeline, such as registering for classes, looking up or requesting transcripts, viewing grades, checking financial aid, paying tuition or fees.
  • Available for information look-up only, Class Schedule (limited version).

Faculty:

  • Not available: Self-Services through WSU Pipeline, such as downloading class lists, approving withdraw requests, processing a grade change, researcher’s dashboard and STARS.
  • Available: Cognos with data dated Thursday, Nov. 28.

Administrative staff and management:

  • Not available: Self-Services through WSU Pipeline, such as completing or approving timesheets, viewing paycheck, benefits, or other personal information. Workflow, ApplicationXtender and STARS.
  • Available: Cognos with data dated Thursday, Nov. 28.

What you need to do

Complete work that requires using Banner administrative data before the upgrade starts on Saturday, Nov. 30, or plan to delay it until after the upgrade, when Banner becomes available on Monday, Dec. 2.

The Banner upgrade does not require any changes to your Web browser or desktop computer.
