Tis the Season for the 12 Cyber-Scams of the Holidays

Consumers are not the only ones getting ready for the holiday season. Cyber criminals are excited and ready for the shopping season too.  Whether you are going to shop, book travel arrangements, or pay your bills don't let cyber criminals ruin your holiday cheer.  Be cautious and consider the actions you are taking online. Check out twelve common holiday scams from McAfee below.

Always remember our most basic security tips:

  • WSU will NEVER ask you to send your AccessID and password in an email message.
  • NEVER share your password with anyone.
  • If you get an unexpected email message suggesting dire consequences unless you click on a link to log in right away, it's probably a phish.
