How do I report phishing messages or suspicious emails?

Wayne Connect has a powerful filter that prevents many malicious emails from reaching your inbox.  Some messages do get past these filters, so

If you receive a phishing email, forward the message to abuse@wayne.edu

You can optionally report the phishing message to Microsoft, which will help improve their filters:
  1. Log in to Wayne Connect in your web browser at connect.wayne.edu.
  2. Choose the malicious message by clicking the box to the left of it.
  3. In the menu above the message, click the arrow next to Junk and choose Phishing. Your message will automatically be deleted and reported to Microsoft to improve their filters.
