Why does my device email app not work with Microsoft Authenticator and MFA?

It is recommended to use the Outlook mobile app if you would like email access on your mobile device. While it is possible for other email applications to function with your Wayne State email, the official Outlook app is the preferred supported application and will provide the most reliable functionality. This is due to Microsoft's continuous improvements and changes to security requirements, and as a result, two-factor may not be compatible with your factory mobile email client.
