What wireless network should I use for my device?Share & Print
C&IT recommends using WSU-SECURE whenever accessible, including on mobile devices. The secure network is the safest, most simple and widely available network. Learn how to set up your device on our KnowledgeBase.
If your device does not support the setup procedures for WSU-SECURE, use the WSU-PUBLIC network. To get the best connection, delete whichever networks you are not using so your device automatically connects to your preferred network. If you live in the Wayne State University Residence Halls and neither of these options work for your device, you may need to fill out a device exception request.
Below is a list of commonly used devices organized by those which can connect to the secure network and which will require a device exception. WSU cannot test every device on the market, so this information is only a starting point.
