How do I approve or deny a request in the WSU Absence Requests Calendar?

Follow the steps below to approve or deny a time-off request in the WSU Absence Requests Calendar. Only employees in management roles with employees who directly report to them can approve or deny requests.

  1. When one of your employees submits an absence request, you will receive notification via email from absencerequests@wayne.edu. The subject line will read Employee Name – Absence Type.

  2. Verify via the email that the employee has the banked hours required for the request and click Approve or Decline in the email.

  3. Once you submit your response, a new browser will open saying your response has been recorded.
  4. You will receive email confirmation.
