C&IT supports the software needed for student, faculty and staff success. Whether or not internal support is offered for a specific item is determined by the number of users across campus, whether it is used by a specific school, college, or department, university vendor contracts, and more.

Enterprise software

Wayne State offers all students, faculty and staff basic software needed for their learning and working as a part of their affiliation with the university. These enterprise-level software licenses are available based on user roles and responsibilities.

Support is limited to university use. Offerings are continuously under review. Software not included here is not currently supported by the Help Desk. Faculty and staff who require software not included here may contact their local technician to inquire about adding it. Please contact the Help Desk for questions or concerns related to information found here. The Software Clearinghouse (C&IT Help Desk Software Website) is an authorized education reseller for the products found on commerce.wayne.edu/helpdesk. Access to the site and available software is limited to students, faculty, staff and select university affiliates for administrative, academic and non-commercial research use. Employee and/or affiliate access is determined by university payroll status. Affiliates who are not currently on Wayne State payroll will have to have a university supervisor and/or colleague purchase software on their behalf. Non-commercial research refers to research conducted by faculty, staff and/or degree-seeking students that 1) does not involve direct financial gain, monetary compensation or intention of commercial advantage, and/or 2) results made from the software restrict the academic study or research of the university community.
