Why does the Help Desk only support specific software?
The software support offered by C&IT is limited for numerous reasons. Due to the large population of the Wayne State University community and the requirements of the central systems and services supported, C&IT is unable to offer support for every software package and/or operating system. C&IT works hard to offer support for a balance of not only popular software, but software that is certified and/or necessary for use with campus services and
systems.

If you feel a specific program or piece of software has been overlooked, is necessary for academic or administrative services, or is simply used by a large enough group on campus to warrant support, please contact C&IT. Emails
with the name of a program and a detailed reason for their proposed inclusion may be sent to helpdesk@wayne.edu.
