Wayne State adding Zoom accounts to student, faculty, staff resources

C&IT is pleased to announce that Wayne State has acquired a license for the Zoom video conferencing service. Under this license, Wayne State students, faculty and staff will be able to host Zoom meetings that allow up to 300 participants with no time limit.

Accounts will be rolled out to campus in phases, with a projected 100% completion date of July 6, 2020. Individuals will be notified when their account is ready to use.

C&IT is integrating Zoom into Wayne State’s technology infrastructure. As a part of the integration process, you will be able to access Zoom using your AccessID and password, reducing the need to keep track of another account login.

Faculty who currently need video conferencing for their classes have access to Big Blue Button and Microsoft Teams, which are already integrated with Canvas. Microsoft Teams can also be used to host online meetings.

Thank you for your patience as C&IT works to make Zoom available to all Warriors as quickly as possible. C&IT will share more information as the project moves forward. Learn more about Zoom at Wayne State at kb.wayne.edu/500241.
