I received an email asking me to set up Duo Two-Factor Authentication. Is this legitimate?

Duo Security sends automated 'enrollment' email messages directly to Wayne State students, faculty and staff that have not created a Duo account. Once you are enrolled, Duo Security will automatically stop sending the messages.

Wayne State uses Duo to provide two-factor authentication to protect the personal data of students, faculty, and staff. When you log in to your account and access personal information within Academica, such as transcripts, tax information, and pay stubs, or when you use the WSU VPN, you will need to verify your login using the Duo Mobile app.

If you are not confident that the Duo Security email is legitimate, you can set up your Duo account through Academica following these steps.
