Remote Student Technology

The following guidelines are designed to support remote technology for Wayne State students.

  • All use of Wayne State technology—on campus or remote—must follow the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources Policy. The use of, duplication, or transmission of copyrighted material without owner permission is banned from university technology, including all Wayne State Wi-Fi networks and the VPN.
  • If you are using personal devices to access Wayne State technology systems and services, please makes sure your operating system is up to date. These updates include security patches that protect both you and the Wayne State community at large.

Your instructor may require the use of Respondus LockDown Browser or Monitor during your exams. This software is not compatible with personal Chromebooks or mobile devices, you must use a laptop or desktop computer.
